The best gastronomy in Sierra Nevada

La Ruta del Veleta is a must if you want to savor the best gastronomy. Their owners, two brothers called Miguel and José Pedraza also own another restaurant in Cenes de la Vega. In this restaurant you can try the clasic and traditional andalusian kitchen with the best ingredients. Their specialities are roast lamb, salted fish, fresh pasta with sausage and pine nuts or ajoblanco, all of them accompanied with the best wines.

Another restaurant you must visit is La Bodega, which is the most visited one because of their place and experience and where you can also enjoy their solarium, that has the trails best views.

If you don’t want to spend so much time having lunch, and what you want is a hamburger or a sandwich, you can try in El Campanario.

Restaurante Genil, near the Telesilla Stadium is another special place for eating or drinking without even getting down of the chairlift.

A good option is to visit the hotels at lunch time. Hotel Maribel is one of the most demanded ones as it is an amazing rustic hotel renovated in 2004 that has one of the best buffet for breakfast in Sierra Nevada.
